The Range Rover was the first luxury SUV to feature Electronic Air Suspension, in 1992, and the new Range Rover continues this pioneering approach with Dynamic Response Pro and pre-emptive suspension that uses eHorizon Navigation data to read the road ahead and prime the suspension to respond accordingly. “It does this through pre-emptive suspension that primes the vehicle for upcoming corners, next-generation noise cancelling with new headrest speakers and clean air technology that can help significantly reduce odours and viruses – creating one of the quietest, most relaxing, modern luxury travelling experiences imaginable.” Nick Collins, executive director vehicle programmes, Jaguar Land Rover, said: “The new Range Rover takes the lessons learned over 50 years of evolution and combines them with cutting edge technologies to deliver supreme refinement, comfort and well-being. The car maker says the new Range Rover is “the most desirable yet” and that it “defines modern luxury, providing more refinement, customer choice and scope for personalisation than ever before”. The new Range Rover is the first Jaguar Land Rover vehicle to utilise the company’s new Modular Longitudinal Architecture, MLA-Flex platform, which can accommodate a variety of powertrains - including mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid options - but there will not be an all-electric version until 2024. Some exciting firsts for the all-new model include the availability of three rows of seats to transport up to seven people, the simultaneous launch of standard and long-wheelbase versions and the availability of SV versions from launch.

The arrival of an all-new version has been described by Jaguar Land Rover as “a once in a decade moment”. It is the fifth generation variant of a vehicle which began its life back in 1970. Land Rover has unveiled its all-new Range Rover with a number of firsts for the vehicle that single-handedly invented the concept of the luxury SUV.
